What does the day look like?
Most days run Monday–Friday, roughly 09:00–18:00 in an office. Some showroom roles include Saturday. There is no shift work or on-call duty.
About 35–40% of the day goes to AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit or Excel — 2D floor plans, elevations, FF&E schedules and technical packages. Another 25–30% is sample libraries, sourcing materials, email and phone, and studio admin. Concept boards and visuals — the part most people picture as "design" — take about 20–25%. Site visits, installation support and supplier runs fill the remaining 10–15%; some ads ask for a driving licence and a car.
