What does the day look like?
Your morning starts at the notary office managing the client queue, answering phones, and handling correspondence. Most of the day goes into preparing draft deeds, contracts, and wills under the notary's instruction, tracking deadlines, and writing to the land registry, commercial register, courts, and tax offices. You enter data in notarial case-management software and Microsoft Office, make copies, maintain archives, and support fee notes and billing.
Signing and sealing belong to the notary; you prepare and check drafts while liability stays with them. Roughly 25–35% of the day is client-facing front desk work, 40–50% is document preparation and authority correspondence, and 15–25% is admin, billing, and archiving. There is no shift work or on-call pattern — standard office hours apply.
