What does the day look like?
Your daily routine centres on processing incoming orders inside ERP and OMS platforms. Around 45 percent of your time is spent validating order details, addresses, SKU quantities, and tracking numbers in systems like SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365. Another 25 percent goes to cross-referencing warehouse inventory and clearing holds, while 20 percent is spent communicating with warehouse teams and carriers via Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email tickets. Live phone calls make up only 10 percent of the job.
Standard hours are 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. However, teams frequently work in shifts, including evenings or weekends, to match US and EU operational hours. Mandatory overtime is typical during peak fourth-quarter retail surges such as Black Friday and Cyber Week.
