What does the day look like?
An instructional coordinator does not teach classes daily. Around 55% of your time is spent writing curriculum maps, teacher guides, assessment rubrics, and test items using tools like Canvas, Moodle, Articulate 360, and Atlas Curriculum Management. Another 25% goes to analyzing student assessment data and reviewing lesson delivery, while 20% is dedicated to coaching teachers and leading professional development workshops.
This is a standard office job running Monday through Friday, 37.5 to 40 hours a week. There are no night shifts, but workloads peak during textbook publishing deadlines and right before the academic year starts.
