What does the day look like?
You work onsite at an authentication centre in New Jersey or Arizona for The RealReal, or in similar intake inspection for Entrupy business customers. You open parcels, identify brand, model, materials and production markers, compare stitching, edge paint, hardware engraving, monogram alignment, interior labels and date or microchip codes against reference data, photograph each piece and enter condition and authenticity findings into the inventory system, and route doubtful pieces to senior reviewers. The Entrupy loop is select brand and material in the Entrupy app, capture microscopic images with the Entrupy device and lens, upload for cloud comparison, and receive an Authentic or Unidentified result.
Tools are the Entrupy app, Entrupy microscopic imaging device, loupe, microscope, refractometer, polariscope, digital calipers, plus the employer inventory and photography pipeline. Roughly 1/3 of the day is handling Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Hermes pieces and calling fake versus real; the rest is intake volume, data entry, photography, condition grading, pricing support, consignor explanations and re-check queues. It is full-time onsite shift work, with no night work and no on-call in the descriptions found. Remote review exists at Entrupy for senior specialists who monitor real-time authentications, but entry hiring is onsite.
