What does the day look like?
Most of the workday is not spent in interviews. Around 20% of your time involves running 20-to-30-minute screening calls with candidates. About 45% of the day goes to sourcing candidates on LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and Behance using Boolean search, reviewing CVs, and sending outreach messages. Another 25% is spent updating ATS platforms like Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, SmartRecruiters, or BambooHR and scheduling interviews, while 10% goes to intake meetings with hiring managers.
Work follows standard office hours from 09:00 to 18:00. In international or agency recruitment, hours adjust to client time zones, which frequently requires early evening calls or weekend outreach. There are no mandatory night shifts or on-call rotations.
