What does the day look like?
Your schedule is a standard 40-hour workweek from Monday through Friday (typically 8:30/9:00 to 17:00/18:00). There are no regular night shifts or on-call duties, though workload spikes sharply during annual appraisal cycles and succession review quarters. Daily tasks include running 9-box grid talent reviews with department heads, identifying high-potential employees (HiPos), mapping skills matrices, building Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and tracking turnover analytics. You will work across Workday Human Capital Management, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle Cloud HCM, Cornerstone OnDemand, Lattice, Culture Amp, 15Five, Betterworks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and Tableau.
Only about 15% of the role involves mentoring rising talent or designing leadership programmes. The remaining 85% is operational routine: cleaning data in HCM platforms, building spreadsheet models for retention risks, mediating calibration disputes between managers, writing internal policy documents, and chasing leaders to submit overdue performance ratings.
