What does the day look like?
Around 20% of your day involves greeting high-profile guests or VIP arrivals, while the remaining 80% consists of routine operational and administrative duties. You will spend most of your time cross-referencing arrival lists in Opera PMS or Infor HMS, updating guest CRM profiles in Salesforce Hospitality or SevenRooms, coordinating room inspections via HotSOS, and resolving on-the-spot guest complaints regarding housekeeping or dining lapses.
Work runs on rotational 8-hour or 9-hour shifts: morning shifts typically cover 07:00 to 15:30, while afternoon and evening shifts run from 14:30 to 23:00. Night shifts from 23:00 to 07:30 occur occasionally, though overnight front-desk coverage is more frequently handled by Night Auditors. Working on weekends, public holidays, and peak tourist seasons is a standard contractual requirement.
