What does the day look like?
A typical day runs from 08:30 to 18:00 on weekdays with occasional Saturday rotations. While there are no overnight shifts, you remain on call for vault alarms, cash-in-transit anomalies, and audit alerts. Around 30 percent of your hours go to regulatory compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC) reviews, and vault security audits. Another 25 percent is spent evaluating retail and SME loan files exceeding loan officers' individual underwriting limits in credit committees.
The remaining time is split between tracking commercial branch KPIs like deposits, card issuance, and mortgages (25 percent) and managing staff scheduling, coaching, and resolving escalated customer disputes (20 percent). Daily work relies on core banking systems such as Temenos Transact (T24), Oracle FLEXCUBE, SAP for Banking, or local systems like IABS, alongside Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and vault time-delay lock controls.
