What does the day look like?
Your day starts in the kitchen and the spreadsheet. With the chef you agree daily energy and macronutrient ranges, turn them into menus, check the hotel kitchen or the kitchen truck, control fridge truck stock, hygiene, allergies and cultural needs. You keep supplements to Informed Sport or NSF Certified for Sport batches only, check each batch number, log individual regimes against the WADA Prohibited List.
Then 1-to-1 athlete consults: intake assessment, weight history, bloods with sports medicine, training load from TrainingPeaks or Smartabase, fuelling plan by session and by stage profile. You track body composition by ISAK skinfolds or DEXA and BIA, track compliance in Nutritics, Nutrium, MealLogger or a club app plus Excel sheets, run group talks and cooking sessions. Pitch-side work with players is 20% to 30% of paid hours, 70% to 80% is kitchen checks, messages, education and travel logistics. Hours follow training and fixtures: early breakfasts, evenings, weekends, camps and tours of 2 to 4 weeks, with a Tour day running 07:45 to 22:00.
