What does the day look like?
Roughly 50–65% of your day is platform work: building and editing campaigns in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager (Facebook/Instagram), and sometimes TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or Microsoft Ads — setting budgets, audiences, bidding, and conversion tracking. Another 20–30% goes to analytics in Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and platform dashboards, reporting ROAS, CPA/CPL, CTR, and conversion rates. The remaining 10–20% is coordination: briefing or reviewing creatives, landing pages, and UTM structure, plus stakeholder calls. Filming Reels, writing long copy, or doing graphic design is not most of the job — you brief others for that. Shift work and on-call duty are rare; hours are usually standard office time, but ad accounts run 24/7 and spend alerts during launches can mean evening checks. Night shifts are not the norm.
