What does the day look like?
You work in a corporate head office: 37.5 to 40 hours per week, usually 09:00 to 17:30 or 18:00, Monday to Friday. Your day is raising, tracking and amending Purchase Orders, logging and measuring samples and running the sample library, reading the WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock and Intake) report for Best Sellers and Worst Sellers, emailing vendors about delivery dates, barcodes and shipments, and fixing price gaps between invoices and warehouse receipts.
Your tools are Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS), SAP S/4HANA (Retail), Oracle Retail (Retek / RMS), Centric Software PLM or Lectra Fashion PLM, plus MicroStrategy and Microsoft Power BI for reporting. Showrooms, trend scouting and handling garments take 10% to 15% of working hours; 85% to 90% is spreadsheets, PO entry, supplier emails and margin checks. Overtime peaks in seasonal campaigns (January to March and June to September). Night shifts and on-call cover are 0%.
