What does the day look like?
A registrar’s day moves between storage rooms, offices, galleries, and transport paperwork. You inspect objects coming in or going out with raking light, UV torches 365 nm, digital cameras, callipers, and hygrometers, then record cracks, craquelure, scratches, and old repairs in condition reports. You also update accession records, barcodes, shelf locations, and loan records in TMS, Axiell Collections, EMu, Adlib, Vernon CMS, CollectionSpace, or Museumplus.
