Monthly, in US dollars. Each country is an Imora admission package — open one for that route's fees, language requirement and deadline.
What does the day look like?
Between 50% and 65% of your working time is spent writing compliance reports and drafting statutory permits in Microsoft Word, tracking deadlines in Excel, and managing spatial data in ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or AutoCAD Civil 3D. You also run dispersion modelling for air emissions using AERMOD or ADMS and noise modelling in CadnaA. Another 10% to 15% goes to client steering meetings, municipal hearings, and discussions with ministry inspectors.
Field investigations take up 15% to 30% of your time, especially in early career stages. Rather than trekking through untouched wilderness, this means walking muddy construction sites or operating industrial plants to collect soil cores, sample groundwater with bailers and YSI ProDSS probes, and conduct noise surveys using Class 1 sound level meters. Contracted office hours are 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Fieldwork requires early departures between 05:00 and 07:00, with no regular night shifts or emergency on-call duties.
